The world is more dynamic than ever before. There is a sudden opening of the world economy to markets in both developed and developing countries and availability of technologies. As a result, current consumer preferences, product life cycles, employment concepts have undergone tremendous changes, because of which the challenges that the corporate world faces today are multi-dimensional. While on the one hand there is a need to augment resources – both technological and human, to face the competition all over the world, on the other there is also a need to reduce increasing costs. ‘The best quality at the least cost’ seems to be the motto of the present day economic development. From the human resources stand point, this necessitates the emergence of young and effective managerial talent with an exposure to strategic specialization. Our efforts in training the students match the current demands of the corporate sector. The admission procedures in our institutions are stringent. While academic records form a strong base, success in aptitude tests help in further selection. Group Discussions and Interviews are the final deciding factors for selection. Once selected, they undergo rigorous training under the supervision of efficient and experienced faculty both within and outside the classes. Our fully equipped library, guest lectures, workshops by eminent academicians, industrialists, national and multinational corporates enhance their knowledge. Further, projects and dissertations, hands – on training at the corporates and seminars impart constructive practical experience for the future managers. Therefore, I strongly believe Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management is a corporate training ground for tomorrow’s efficient managers.
